    Verse 1
    Have we e'er heard those weighty words
    That we are buried with the Lord
    Planted together in His death
    That body of sin be destroyed.

    Verse 2
    Our hearts receive a new spirit
    As body raised up from the dead
    So Christ also rose from the grave
    And lives in heav'n above with God.

    Verse 3
    Therefore, let not the devil reign
    Again in your mortal body
    All sins that have bound us before
    They shall no more have dominion.
