“I stand here to say thank you for the confidence reposed on me. I am  not able to do this work, but through Jesus Christ Who strengthens  me, I know that He will help me to do it. I covet your prayers that God may grant me wisdom from above, strength, knowledge and  understanding, to serve best. May God prosper the Gospel work in  Africa and the whole wide world. May God bless you. Thank you.”

“I love you my people” was the characteristic greeting of Brother Paul to  his congregation. The congregation usually responded, “We love you  too.” He once said, “My people, I earnestly prayed that God should put  your love in my heart and He did it.”

Like Paul the Apostle of old, the mission field was his domain. Settlements  on sea, land and on mountain tops were visited that the name of the Lord,  Jesus Christ might be well known. No terrain was too difficult for Brother  Paul to take the Gospel of Jesus to. One of his earliest ports of call was  Soava, an archipelago in the West Coast of Africa. The brethren felt great  that the leader of our Church in Africa considered them worthy of his visit  despite the risk and inconvenience. They gave him a rousing welcome and  seized the moment to deepen their commitment to the Gospel.
