Prepare O sinner to be wise
Do not wait until tomorrow
As long as you deride wisdom
The more hidden wisdom will be

Get ready to ask for mercy
Do not wait for until tomorrow
Before thy days on earth are o'er
Before this world's sunset arrives

Prepare, O sinner to return
Do not wait until tomorrow
So you do not become accursed
Before tomorrow's day begins

Verse 4
Prepare to receive a blessing
Do not wait until tomorrow
So that your lamp does not burn out
Before you begin a new life

Verse 5
Lord, make the sinner to repent
Rouse him from his foolish slumber
May he not kick against wisdom
And be slack concerning his doom
