Days are quickly fleeting by
Death hurries close near at hand,
Sinner, still in mockery yet
Death stares you full in the face

Life is fleeting, when it ends
You will ne'er come back again
You go to eternity
Is it not meet that you think?

Verse 3
God hears and He answers prayer,
Pray before your life is o'er
Wait not for His judgement throne
Till mercy's o'er; vengeance falls

Verse 4
Prepare quickly death is near
If you linger, you'll perish
Wake up, arise and hurry
The Saviour's expecting you
