We shout the shout of joy divine
To God, the great high king
Let all nations their tongues employ
To sing the triumph song

Jesus our Lord ascended up
Thronged by the Heav'ly host
They ascended to heaven with Him
With glorious trumpet blast

As angels praise their king on high
Let creatures join the song
Let all the earth echo His praise,
He reigns all o'er the earth

In fear and trembling, sing His praise
Thy whole senses employ
Do not employ deceitful tongue
Nor on thy lips alone
