Verse 1
The work of God is hard to do
Rise up and fight for Him
Upon the battle fields of life
We should not be dismayed.

Verse 2
O ye that work for God, arise
Appreciate God's greatness,
How fierce the battle may become
You must fight on bravely.

Verse 3
Do not regard the praise of men
Suffer all loss for God,
Christ won, not caring for mockery
He calls you to His way.

Verse 4
Truth shall surely prevail at last
As long as God liveth;
For doubt is sure rebellion
And backsliding is sin.
