Verse 1
O Lord, would Thy pardon accept
Such a sinner like me?
Have my sins been carried away
And hast Thou made me glad?

Verse 2
Could it be that the Cross you bore
For me, despising shame?
Ought I then, Lord, to be ashamed
Of thus being baptised?

Verse 3
Thou made Thyself an example
In waters of Jordan;
Why should my pride refuse to yield
To do what Thou hast done?

Verse 4
Jesus, the zeal of love Thou shows
Blames my own cold response,
But my feet now are swift to walk
In the way of Thy will.
