In the hour we have to part
Let us all commend ourselves
To the watchful eye and heart
Of our dearest and close Friend.

Jesus Christ, hear Thou our prayers
Thou the guardian of Thy sheep,
May Thy mercy and Thy care,
All our hearts in safety keep.

Grant that we have strength through Thee
Add pleasure to every pain,
Spare our lives we pray, dear Lord,
