
REPORT ON 2025 CAMEROON ANNUAL CAMP MEETING
(APRIL 6 -APRIL 20, 2025)
Theme “COME, LET US REPAIR THE ALTAR OF THE LORD” (1 Kings 18: 30)
PRE-CAMP PREPARATIONS
A management meeting was held at Bomono on Friday, March 7, 2025, during which the following committees were set up to take care of various aspects of the Camp Meeting: Transportation, Feeding, Publicity, Chairs, Sanitation, Security, and Lodging.
Application letter was written to the District Officer of Dibombari under whose jurisdiction the Bomono Camp ground exists for permission to hold the camp meeting and this was granted.
Weeks of prayer meetings were also organized in seeking God’s face for a successful camp meeting.
Branch churches contributed food items such as bags of rice, garri, plantains, potatoes, vegetable oil, palm oil, smoked fish and spices for use during the camp. A team of dedicated workers led by Rev. George Bide, Bro. Ndelle Andrew together with the Country Overseer were in charge of supervising the construction of the guest house, which was just at the foundation level at the time the meeting was held. They were also to supervise the construction of the water tower, do minor repairs on plumbing in the dormitories, water and electrical installations, in the tabernacle, and the dormitories.
Delegates
The 2025 annual Camp meeting held at Transformation Centre, Bomono Camp ground, Cameroon, between April 6 and 20, 2025 was attended by the following: Brother Johnson Okpo (Missions Department, WECA Headquarters) represented the District Superintendent, and Brother John Udo (Liaison Officer to Cameroon). Also in attendance were brethren from all the branches in Cameroon – Tombel, Douala, Buea, Kumba, Njombe, Maroua, Nkappa, Bemenda, Njinikom, Fundong, Bangem, Mbabe, Ngusi, Mboroukou, Muambong, Yaounde, Limbe, Mamfe, Manjo, Ngomin etc. The presence of these brethren brought remarkable joy and revival.
EFFECTIVENESS OF REGISTRATION
There was an information center for the registration of delegates, and it had a secretariat. Registration was at its peak during the first week of the camp meeting.
MINISTERS AND WORKERS CONFERENCE
Many of the brethren arrived at the church premises on Saturday April 5, 2025 for the Ministers and Workers conference, which started at 2:00pm. Brother Johnson delivered the greetings and goodwill message of Rev. Isaac Adigun and the Saints of God in Anthony Headquarters. The Ministers and Workers Conference was themed “Good Stewardship”.
The “Significance of the Tent Pins” was taught by the Cameroon Overseer, Brother James Ngwene, and other sub- themes were handled by Brothers Johnson Okpo, Benedict Mesonge and John Udoh respectively. The attendance at the conference was 56.
SUNDAY SCHOOL SERVICES
The First Sunday School service which held on April 6, 2025 was opened with a song, prayer and a programme staged by the Elementary Sunday School Children from Douala.In their program titled “Come, Let Us Repair The Altar Of The Lord“ was selected from 1 Kings 18:20-39,the children reflected on the spiritual state of the church at the beginning, which was filled with the power of God in contrast to the new generation church where there exists a great disregard for the things of God. The congregation was charged to go back to the old landmark. The children challenged all present to repair the broken altars, emphasizing the havoc broken altars had caused in our lives, family, church and the nation. There were tears in the eyes of all. The programme kindled the fire of revival in the hearts of all.
The English adult lesson titled “Rebecca A Type Of The Bride Of Christ” was taught by Sister Celine Teku, in Bakosse language, by Brother Julius Mebune and French by Brother Roderick Mbella. The review was handled by Brother Benedict Mesonge
Buea Elementary Sunday School children opened the second Sunday School Service held on April 13, 2025 with a playlet, titled “Peer Pressure”. The playlet was a warning of the danger in living a careless life outside the home, and the need to be close to God at all times.
The English Adult lesson titled “The Boyhood of Jesus” was taught by Sister Rachel Aka and Sister Akoume Philomina, in French by Brother Landry Meli and the lesson was reviewed by Brother Valentine Enor.
Children from Tombel Elementary School opened the third Sunday School Service held on April 20, 2025 with a practical demonstration of: “How To Repair Our Broken Altars.” It was both inspiring and challenging. Through the entire Children’s presentations, God used “the mouths of babes and suckling to perfect His praise”.
The English adult lesson titled “The Resurrection of Jesus” was taught by Brothers EPIE GORDON and EKUNDA RAYMOND, in French by Brother Landry Meli and Bakosse language by ABWE MAVIN. The lesson was reviewed by Brother James Ngwene.
MORNING DEVOTIONAL SERVICES
The first Devotional Service held on April 6 started with the Choir and Orchestra presentations: “How great thou art”, “Great and Marvellous”, “ Send the Fire”and “Repair the Altar”. The congregational songs were taken from CGS 164,167 and the camp anthem “Send the Fire”.
The sermon titled “It’s Time To Repair the Broken Altar” was given by Brother Johnson Okpo. Reading from 1 Kings 18: 30, 36-39, he told the congregation the purpose of an altar,the spiritual and physical effects of a broken altar. He encouraged all to bring their brokenness to God for repairs; stressing that, “we will not get revival until we repair what has been broken down”. It was an heavenly provoked message, which led everyone to their knees.
The attendance at the devotional service was 618
The second morning devotional service held on April 13, 2025 started by featuring choir presentations such as: “What a Meeting”, “The Meeting in the Air” and “Jesus Is Coming Again”. The sermon was given by Brother John Udoh titled “The Glorious Second Coming of Christ’. He took his text from 1 Thessalonians 4:16. He explained to the congregation the meaning of the dead in Christ and the reasons for death, drawing from Genesis 3:19. He went further to encourage all to get ready for the coming of the Lord which can happen any moment by getting all their Christian experiences and be watchful. This message drove many to their knees in prayer, and were blessed.
The attendance at devotional service was 735
The third devotional service held on Sunday April 20, 2025, started with Choir and Orchestra presentations such as: “With Hearts and Voice”, “The Fight Is On”, and “Day By Day”. The Overseer, Brother James Ngwene preached a farewell sermon on “Endurance Race To The End”. He started by making allusions to earthly races such as; mountain race, cross country race, etc, where we have only one person emerging the winner; but this heavenly race, everybody who runs the race to the end is considered a winner. Saints of God were encouraged to strive to make it to the end no matter the obstacle on the way. People of God went to the altar to pray for grace to make it to the end.
EVENING REVIVAL AND EVANGELISTIC SERVICES
The following ministers preached during Evangelistic Services:
Sunday 06/04/2025 Brother George Bide, pastor of the Bangem congregation preached on the theme “Power in the Blood”. He mentioned that the blood is the greatest gift of God to mankind; it is precious, incorruptible and available to all. There was a great revival at the altar of prayer.
Tuesday 08/04/2025, Brother Malvin Abwe from Muambong congregation was the officiating minister. The sermon was titled “The Voice Of God”, the voice that never changes, can never be stopped or avoided. When we hear the voice of God through His Word and obey, blessings will follow. When the altar call was made, many rushed to the altar to seek God’s face.
Wednesday 09/04/2025, Brother Celestine Ewane, a minister from Buea branch preached on the Theme: “The God Of Power And Wonders”. Taking his text from Isaiah 40:25-29, he emphasized that the power of God is just the same today to perform wonders in the lives of them that will seek Him. God visited His people at the altar of prayers.
Thursday 10/04/2025, Br. Ndelle Andrew, the national secretary and treasurer from Tombel Branch Church preached on the topic “VICTORY”. He laid emphasis on four things that would bring us victory: willingness, obedience, faith and action. God blessed the meeting
Friday 11/04/2025, Br. Basil Ngwane, branch leader of Nkappa congregation preached on “When Deliverance Comes From Zion”, drawn from Obadiah 1:17. He said that God is willing and ready to end the drought in our lives, but we just need to humble ourselves and come back to Him. Many rushed to the altar to pray.
Sunday 13/04/2025 Sister Esther Njiki, a minister from Buea was the preacher. Her sermon was titled “Lord, My Transgressions”, and her opening text was Psalms 51:10. If we know ourselves and we acknowledge our transgressions before God, He will show us mercy. What God requires from us is honesty. God blessed the meeting.
Tuesday 15/04/2025, Br. Livingston Teku youth leader from Douala preached on the topic “What Faith Can Do”. His text was drawn from Jeremiah 33: 3, he charged the congregation to apply faith and get whatever blessing they are seeking from God. Many received blessings that night.
Wednesday 16/04/2025, Bro. Peter Muleng was the officiating minister and he preached on the topic “Behold The Bright Groom Cometh “ . Reading from Mathew 25:1-12. He said Jesus is here tonight to help the undecided. Just as in physical marriage, there are some criteria to be considered in order to choose rightly. So for us to be chosen as Bride of King Jesus, we must meet certain criteria. We must confess our sins and forsake them, pray and be saved. Then we must continue to do all necessary preparation for us not to be disqualified at the end.
Thursday 17/04/2025, Br. Mebune Julius Achie of Ngusi church, preached on the topic “What Wilt Thou That I Shall Do Unto Thee?”, he took his text from Mathew 20: 29-34. He reminded the congregation that God knows all our problems, and all we need do is to speak to Him and He would solve all our problems. God manifested His power in this revival services as many prayed through to different Christian experiences and divers blessings.
BIBLE TEACHINGS
Bible teachings were held from Tuesday to Friday of the first week of the Camp meeting, Tuesday to Thursday of the second week of the camp with these topics and teachers respectively:
Tuesday 09/04/2025, Rev. Ngwene James Kome, Country Overseer taught the first bible study; on the Topic “The Sin Question”. The opening text was 1 John 3:4. He threw some highlights on the origin of sin, the different categories of sin, the consequences of sin, the remedies for sin, need for sanctification and the power for service. He emphasized the fact that we have to forgive those that hurt us if we want God to forgive us. Altar call was made and hungry hearts rushed to seek the face of God.
Wednesday 09/04/2025, Br. Denis Masango taught on the topic “Prevailing Prayer” Quoting Hebrews 12:14, Ezekiel 32:30. He pointed out that victories are won through prevailing prayers; unfortunately prayer culture is losing its place in these last days. He reminded the congregation on the theme of the camp meeting “come let us repair the altar of the Lord”. We can only repair the broken altars through prevailing prayer. He invited the congregation to the altar of prayer.
Thursday 10/04/2025, Br. Francis Akoume taught on the topic “Christian Unity Without Compromise”. He took his texts from Psalm 133; 2 Peter 2:1, 2 and Ephesians 4:3. He highlighted the importance of unity among brethren, what brings unity and what can compromise our unity. He went further to mention the blessings that would attend our meetings if we are united in faith without compromising the doctrines and standards of the gospel. Many went to the altar to pray.
Friday 11/05/2025, Br. Johnson Okpo taught on the topic: “The Trial of Our Faith and the Reward”. Reading from 1 Peter 4: 12 and 13,he drove the lesson home with the illustration of students who were taught lessons at school and later sat for exams to test the level of their understanding of what they had learned. He further said “It has been said that God tries men that they may rise; Satan tempts them that they may fall”. Reading also from Romans 10:17, he explained the ways faith can be obtained. Using Deuteronomy 8:2, he explained why God send trials to His Children, what should be our attitude towards trials, examples of those tried and their testimonies with attendant rewards for enduring trials.
Tuesday 15/04/2025, Rev. Benedict Mesonge, pastor of Kumba taught on the topic “The Last Days and the Later Rain”. Reading form 2 Timothy 3: 1-5, he pointed some of the signs of the last, encouraging the congregation to pray as the former and later rain promised through prophet Joel (Joel 2:23) has been fulfilled.
Wednesday 16/04/2025, the teacher was Br. John Udo. He taught on the topic “No Divorce and Remarriage”. He began by defining marriage to be a long lasting covenanted union between unmarried man and woman. His opening scripture was taken from Genesis 2:18-24. He equally talked about the responsibilities of spouses to each other using Ephesians 5:22-28.
Thursday 17/04/2025, Br. Apuge Michael Etuge taught on the topic “Self Denial Necessary”. The opening scripture was taken from Luke 9:23. He mentioned self-denial as a prerequisite for receiving salvation, spiritual growth and many other blessings from God. We must deny everything for Christ’s sake if we want to be good disciples of Jesus Christ. Self denial is not negotiable if we want to make heaven!
The teachings were inspired by the Holy Spirit which was evident at the altar services where people prayed through to victories.
The peak attendance during the Bible Teachings was: 546
YOUTH SERVICES
Youth services were held during the camp meeting period (Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays) and all the services were mightily blessed. The young preachers were: Brother Livingston Gwanyi, Sister Ekone Juleta, Brother Sone Nanson and Sister Rose. God’s support on their ministration was revealed as blessings received were recorded.
The peak attendance was: 256
FRENCH SERVICES
There were two French services held during the camp meeting period (Thursdays, 10th and 17th April) and all the services were mightily blessed. The preachers were: Sister Marie Helen Kpomadje and Brother Mbella Rodrigue.
ORDINANCE SERVICES
The water baptismal service was held on Friday, April 18, 2025 in the church Auditorium with a short sermon delivered by Brother Valentine Enoh. A total number of 40 candidates were baptized in water (15 Males and 25 Females) using the newly constructed baptistery beside the church building and the glory of God was revealed as those saints were baptized in obedience to Christ’s instruction.
Later in the evening, instead of the usual evening service, the Ordinance Services of the Breaking of Bread and the Washing of the Saint’s feet were held. Brothers Micheal Beach Mesumbe and Denis Massango gave short sermons. At the end of the services, there were presentations of different songs by the saints of God which depicted the type of fellowship that the saints of God will enjoy in heaven. There was great joy among the saints of God.
CAMPMEETING CONCERTS
The Adult concert took place on Saturday the April 12, 2025. Choristers and instrumentalists came from all branches to take part in that camp concert titled “Behold the Lamb of God”. They sang in English, French and local languages such as Douala. Classical pieces from Handel were rendered such as; “All We Like Sheep”, “He was Despised”, “The Glory of the Lord”, “Nonga jongise”(Douala), “J’ ai trouve le bon chemin” (French), etc.
The host of heaven descended and it was a glorious event. In attendance were invited dignitaries from different walks of life Cameroon. It was a concert with a lasting rippling effect. Attendance at the concert was 612
The Children’s concert took place on Monday, April 14, 2025. This was organized by the elementary teachers in Cameroon. A great number of children from the intermediate and elementary classes took part in the concert. They sang in English and French languages, also in local languages like Duala and Bakosse. What was special about the 2025 children’s concert was that, they played different musical instruments such as brass, woodwind and strings instruments. The number that participated was nearly 200. This was first of its kind ever witnessed in Cameroon. God really used these Children to bless many souls. Truly, the Church has a bright future! 637 people were in attendance.
OTHER ACTIVITIES
- Two seminars were held on April 7, 2025 and topics discussed were “ First Aid and Nutrition”; “Youth and Adult Empowerment”. The facilitators were: Dr. Sone Jeremiah Nkeng and Sister Senge
- On the 11th of April 2025, We had a youth forum and topics discussed were “The Impact Of Social Media On Youths, Peer Pressure And Evil Associations, And The Place Of Technical Education In The 21st Century. Facilitators were: Sis. Esther Njiki, Bro. Ekinde Mbonde and Br. Ngwane Basil.
- On the April 14, 2025, there was a seminar on “ Marriage and Family Relationship”. It was an interesting session with many questions coming from participants who were eager to get their marriages right. Many issues were discussed especially on “Sanctity of Marriage and family bonding”. God used the seminar to reconcile broken homes and marriages as later testified by many. Facilitators were Brothers Johnson Okpo and John Udo
- The second youth forum took place on the April 16, 2025. This session was coordinated by Bro. Gwanyi Livingston, and other speakers - Bro. Ngwane Basil and Sis. Ekone Juleta, The session was meant to answer pending questions from the first forum. There was also a presentation on “Adolescent crisis”.
- Charity Day:This was held on Monday, April 14, 2025. Materials donated by faithful brothers and Sisters included: shoes, shirts, pullovers, trousers, skirts, hats, and school didactic materials for all ages and for all sexes were displayed for those in need to pick. It was a great joy as participants went round and picked items of their choices.

CONCLUSION
The camp meeting was a blessing packed one, and we thank the Lord for the privilege of coming together for such a great feast. Despite the unrest in some parts of Cameroon and other challenges faced, it was a huge success. We give God the glory and our appreciation goes to WECA headquarters for sending Missionaries who assisted us in making the camp meeting a huge success. Cameroon needs your prayer!
