MISSIONS’ REPORT OF 2025 CAMP MEETING
HELD AT: THE APOSTOLIC FAITH CHURCH, MONROVIA, LIBERIA. 6TH – 16TH FEBRUARY, 2025
THEME: “COME, LET US REPAIR THE ALTAR OF THE LORD” - 1 KINGS 18:30
INTRODUCTION:
A 10-day Country Camp Meeting was proposed and approved by WECA to hold between 6th – 16th February 2025 at Apostolic Faith Church, Gaye Town, Monrovia.
THE TEAM
The team comprising Brother Monday Onatere, Brother Eniibukun Adebayo together with Brother and Sister James Ayodele (Missionary to Sierria Leone and 4 of their members who joined the Camp Meeting on Saturday 8th February 2025)made a mission trip to Monrovia to join and support our brethren for the 2025 Liberia Camp meeting.
CAMP MEETING ACTIVITIES
MINISTERS AND WORKERS CONFERENCE: MINISTERS & WORKERS CONFERENCE
Opening address was given by Brother Monday Onatere, who delivered the Goodwill Message of the DS and encouraged the Liberia Management that WECA is highly interested and committed to the Work of God in Liberia; letting them know that the support of the Liberian brethren to the Gospel Work is also highly appreciated.
The Conference commenced at exactly 10am and the title of the paper to be discussed was the same as used during the 2024 WECA Camp Meeting in Faith City : “GOOD STEWARDSHIP”. The discussions were very engaging and the paper was well delivered by the different Reviewers. The Conference was attended by a total of 82 workers and ministers (Male 48 & Female 34)
SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS’ CONFERENCE: 8TH FEBRUARY 2025
Conference commenced with the review of the Elementary Lesson on “The Woman Who Disobeyed God”. The Lesson for Senior and Junior titled “Judgement Determined Upon Man” was reviewed by Brother Eniibukun Adebayo from WECA HQ.
SUNDAY PROGRAMME OF 9TH FEBRUARY 2025
2025 Camp Meeting proper commenced with wonderful Children’s Programme depicting the event on Mount Carmel which emphasizes the Theme of the Camp Meeting. The Sunday School classes for all ages were well attended and a review session was held to buttress the main points of the lesson.
This was followed by the Devotional Service which started with “A Mighty Fortress is Our God” by the Orchestra and Praise The Lord, For He is Gracious by the combined choir plus many other wonderful renditions.
Brother Monday Onatere then preached the 1st sermon of the Camp Meeting titled “Come, Let Us Repair the Altar of The LORD” and he picked his text from 1 Kings 18:30. The Worshippers trooped to the Altar to pray down the Power of God into their lives.
The Youth Service followed at its designated time and the Young People were very happy to worship together again.
The Evening Revival & Evangelistic Service began with beautiful choir tunes, testimonies of victory and then Brother Henry G. Karn who is the Head of Welfare Department, preached the Word of God which ended with an invitation to the altar for all to seek the face of God.
BIBLE TEACHINGS
The 1st Bible Teaching of the camp meeting commenced on Monday 10th February, 2025, titled “Evidence and Fruits of Salvation” by the Overseer of the work in Liberia Brother James S. Miller.
The evening Revival and Evangelistic Service witnessed a downpour of God‘s blessings and revival after a sermon by Sister Julia Collins, the Pastor of the Branch Church in Sophie (Monrovia).
The 2nd Bible Teaching on 11th February titled “Entire Sanctification” was taken by Brother James Ayodele, our missionary in Sierra Leone and the sermon of the Evening Revival and Evangelistic Service was taken by Brother Birr, who is the Assistant Head of Welfare in the Head Quarters Church in Monrovia.
The 3rd Bible teaching of the camp meeting 12th February titled “Spiritual Power for Service” was taken by Brother Emmanuel, M Kaiuway, the Pastor of the Branch Church in Marshal City.
The 4th and last Bible Teaching of the camp meeting was held on the 13th February, titled the “Trial of Faith and The Reward”. This was taken by Brother John B Gear, a minister in the Monrovia head quarter church. He encouraged everyone to count all trials as a blessing from God and His special way of proving us and taking us to higher grounds.
The sermon of the Evening Revival and Evangelistic Service was taken by Brother Enoch Swen, who is the Pastor of the Branch Church in New town.
SEMINARS & SPECIAL PROGRAMMES
A Special Program which was a mix of Marriage Counseling, Talk Back or Questions and Answers session that was both enlightening, engaging and encouraging. All were primarily focused at the young people, as they were encouraged to follow the traditions and procedures that our fathers have laid down in the gospel. The program closed with a short sermon by Sister Alise Gedega, a minister in the Monrovia head quarter church. She encouraged everyone to submit their lives to God and receive a sure blessing.
BAPTISMAL SERVICE
The Baptismal Service of 57 candidates, comprising 35 males and 26 females who came joyfully to proclaim their “New Life in Christ” was held on the 14th of February. The sermon was preached by Brother S. Sunwaye, the Pastor of the Branch Church in Taykon. The service was a very joyful one filled with sweet music that was rendered by the Brass Ensemble, who played heartily to the Glory of God.
ORDINANCE SERVICE
The ordinance of breaking of Bread and Washing of the Saints feet replaced the Evening Revival Service and was also a very joyous occasion for the children of God. The short Sermons were preached by Brother D. Dayougah of Buchanan and Brother Isaac D. Browne, a Minister at Marshall Branch Church.
SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS’ CONFERENCE: 15TH FEBRUARY 2025
The 2nd Sunday School Teachers’ Conference began with the Elementary Lesson titled “Abraham offers Isaac” and afterwards the Adult Lesson (which also comprised the Junior) titled: THE FLOOD. The Lessons were well taught with very wonderful application.
MUSIC CONCERT
The Musical Concert was held in the evening of the closing on Saturday as the Choir and Orchestra of the Apostolic Faith Liberia welcomed numerous first time invitees to the evening of sacred Music. Among the special renditions was an orchestration written by Jeff Cranfield titled “Count Your Many Blessings”, Praise the Lord, for He is Gracious” by the choir, “The Glory Special” by the Brass Ensemble, a Musical Playlet titled “Jesus of Nazareth” with Bartimaeus a beggar receiving his sight. The concert closed on a very high note with “Joy in My Heart”.
2ND SUNDAY PROGRAMME OF 16TH FEBRUARY 2025
The 2025 Camp Meeting drew to a close with a wonderful Children’s Programme centered around “The Prodigal Son” which emphasizes a wrecked life that was repaired as a result of repentance and the blessing that attends to the redeemed. The Sunday School classes for all ages were well attended and a review session was held to buttress the main points of the lesson.
The Devotional Service started with “Count Your Many Blessings” by the Orchestra and “How Excellent” by the combined choir plus many other wonderful renditions. Brother Eniibukun Adebayo preached the Devotional Sermon titled “Great Rain” and he picked his text from 1 Kings 18:41-46. Worshipers trooped to the Altar to pray down the Power of God into their lives.
The Youth Service followed at its designated time.
The Evening Revival & Evangelistic Service was the FAREWELL SERVICE which began with beautiful choir tunes, testimonies of victory received during the 2025 Camp meeting and Brother S. Brown preached the farewell service, which ended with an invitation to the altar to seek the face of God and thank Him for a very successful Camp Meeting. The Choir and Orchestra closed with the Song “God be with You Till We Meet Again”.
MANAGEMENT MEETING
This meeting was primarily to confirm the level of readiness and preparedness of the Liberia Team for the Camp meeting and also to get update for the Work In Progress from the 2024 Camp Meeting till date.
HIGHLIGHTS AND UPDATES
◦The Division of the Liberia Work into 5 Zones: The division is working.
◦Communication between Liberia and WECA: Year 2024 report sent to WECA.
◦AVS and Evangelism activities: 3 new schools added to the existing 7.
◦Acquisition of Land for Church buildings in the Urban Area: Prayer & work in progress
LAND UPDATE
◦GBOTTEE LAND: 50 Acres near Firestone already surveyed and Brother Nankey has signed the Deed of Transfer to the church. Currently, they have planted Cassava, Palms and Rice that is feeding the people for the camp meeting. Other Protective measures to secure the palms have been done.
◦YEINKA: Survey of the land at Yeinka is yet to be done as a result of low funds availability.
◦ELWA Land matter is still in court. The current state is that the Court is making efforts to re-survey the land to ascertain the claims from both parties. Work in progress.
MANLEY VILLAGE UPDATE: 28 ACRES OF LAND:
This Camp Meeting witness the Handover of the Manley Land documents for the acquisition of the 28 acres of land in Manley Village.
Brother Pennoh Toby informed the seating comprising our Team and the the Liberia Church Land Committee that himself and two others have been granted and have received the “Deed Of Administration over the Manley Land” from the Government of Liberia.
The Surveyor has been engaged to make ready a DEED OF TRANSFER which is to be signed by THE 3 ADMINISTRATORS and should be sent for REGISTRATION IN THE COURT so that the Church can immediately take full possession and plant beacons/ cornerstones to identify the boundaries of the Church land within the bigger expanse of land. Also, it was advised that crops be planted right round the perimeters of the land for demarcation from encroachment.
The attached pictures shows the handover of the documents to Brother Monday Onatere who received it on behalf of WECA HQ.
RECONSTRUCTION OF MANLEY VILLAGE CHURCH
Our Team in company of Brother Kaiuway (Head of Infrastructure), and Brother Pennoh Toby visited Manley village to undertake a detailed site inspection of the land, the farm and its produce, as well as the OLD Manley church that has been broken down over the years. Some money was handed over to the Liberia Church for the renovation/ rebuilding of the church in Manley Village to begin immediately.
WECA DONATION
◦The money given by WECA headquarters sometimes ago which was kept in an interest yielding account, was used to acquire a new parcel of land of about 10,890 sq feet in Duport road for the purpose of siting a new branch church.
OTHER MATTERS DISCUSSED
◦AFSS Board to be linked with WECA for operations and management updates as promised by the DS during his last visit. WORK IN PROGRESS

◦ Budgeting for Overseers travels and visitation to other branches. Cost of supporting the work at every branch.
2025 PASTORS MEETING HIGHLIGHTS
1. Evangelism is key for church growth. AVS is a very good tool for penetration. All Sunday School Teachers are automatically AVS members, in addition to this are appointed Choir members. They are to: Engage in Tract distribution. Do more Collection of children for Sunday school, and Engage more collectors.
2. Monthly Reports are required to be sent to the headquarters going forward. This will enhance self evaluation and help us to collate the progress of the work.
3. Training on ODB - Operational Dashboard was discussed in details for everyone to know its use, functionality and value. How to plan Church wide Yearly activities was also extensively discussed.
4. Camp Meeting Plans and Expenses. Everyone is encouraged to Give.
5. Close monitoring and better support should be expected from WECA as the people pickup their various responsibilities.
OTHERS SUPPORT
WECA headquarters Team found out that many of the branches couldn’t raise their Camp Meeting contribution and as such the Headquarters Church was constrained to serve only two meals a day for the whole period of meeting. The Team further supported the food budget to ensure that all Campers were served at least three square meals per day. This was greatly appreciated and the Campers were very happy and confessed that this was the best camp meeting in a long while.
MEETING WITH SIERRIA LEONE BRETHREN ON THE MISSION WORK

The Opening Address was given by Brother Monday with a warm encouragement, and appreciation, followed by introduction to brethren from Sierra Leone. However, he stressed the need to get serious and charged all to see growth and development on the horizon.
Sister Mary was grateful to God for giving her the opportunity to attend the Liberia camp meeting. She confessed that she’s revived and promises to re-commit herself to the Work of God in Sierra Leone
Brother Monday inspired all that “Freetown should be the Next Target to experience God’s Mighty Blessings.”
VISITATION OF THE SICK
WECA headquarters’ Team in company of Brother James Miller, the Overseer of Liberia, and Brother James Ayodele of Sierra Leone visited Sister Roberts, the wife of the late Rev. Joshua Roberts as we learnt of her illness. We prayed and supported her on behalf of WECA HQ.
