2026 ANNUAL CAMP MEETING REPORT

General Information:

The Camp meeting, held from July 19 to 26, 2026, at Djeffa PK 14, Republic of Benin, was titled "LIBERATION." The Country Overseer, Rev. Marcellin KPLOKA, coordinated the activities. Delegates from Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Togo, Niger, France, Nigeria and all the branches in Benin Republic were represented. Besides, many people from various countries followed the programs online.

Summary of special events

The 2026 Annual Camp Meeting marked the 20th anniversary of Camp meetings held in Republic of Benin; this milestone was acknowledged and celebrated on Sunday, July 19—the convention's opening Sunday. On that same day, a new four-manual organ purchased, was dedicated and used for services throughout the Camp meeting.

Opening Sermon

The sermon of the devotional service on Sunday, July 19, was delivered by Rev Dotun Ewumi, the WECA Music and Worship Director, and representative of the District Superintendent. Having taken his opening Scripture from Isaiah 61:1–3, he preached on the theme of the Camp meeting: "LIBERATION." He spoke of physical liberation and, above all, spiritual liberation—which is the most important, as it offers liberty, joy, peace of mind, love here on Earth and the hope of Eternal Life.

During the Camp meeting, the Bible Teachings focused on the following themes:

- Christian Experiences (by Brother Maurice TANMAKPI)

- Christian Forgiveness (by Brother Jean ALONOUEMON)

- The Test of Faith and its Reward (by Brother Okpo JOHNSON)

- The Christian Home (by Brother Anastase DJOMATIN)

- The Reality of Heaven and Hell (by Brother Marcellin KPLOKA)

Summary of special activities

Before the camp meeting was a Ministers' and Workers' Conference was held on Friday, July 17. Important topics were presented: "Who Are Good Gospel Workers?", "General Instructions for Services", "Ministerial Responsibilities", "Ministerial Identity", as well as video clips from the Superintendent General, Rev. Sola Adesope, on the themes: "Servants of Jesus Christ" and "Attributes of An Effective Minister". Workers were revived and well equiped even before the general meetings started on Sunday, July 19, 2026.

The Camp Concert took place on Sunday, July 19, at 5:00 PM. In addition to the adult concert, a Children concert was held on Monday, July 20, at 3:00 PM. Thousands of people attended these concerts and were blessed.

On the evening of Monday, July 20, there was a film show on "The Hidden Power of Prayer." After the film, campers rushed to the altars and prayed fervently.

Morning prayers were held daily from Monday to Saturday. Each night from Tuesday to Friday, between 9:00 PM and 11:00 PM, fervent prayer sessions known as "Prevailing Prayer" took place. These sessions brought together thousands of seekers, entire families, and individuals looking for answers to their prayer requests.

The Missions Department also organized morning outreach campaigns from Tuesday to Friday (7:00 AM to 8:00 AM) to share the good news of salvation with local communities and invite them to the Camp.

The youth services held on Wednesday, July 22, and Sunday, July 26, also left an indelible mark on the Camp meeting.

On Friday, July 24, the youth service was replaced by a workshop titled "Christians and Social Media." The advantages and disadvantages of social media were discussed, and the session concluded with advice on the proper use of social media platforms.

Evening revival services were held from Tuesday, July 21, to Friday, July 24, as well as the evening of Sunday, July 26.

Saturday, July 25, was dedicated to ordinance services. In the morning, 291 people (99 men and 192 women) were baptized in water. In the evening, starting at 5:00 PM, the children of God gathered for the Lord’s Supper and the Washing of the Saints' Feet. It was a time of joy and sweet fellowship.

On Sunday, July 19, and Sunday, July 26, Sunday school began at 8:30 AM. Lesson 80 ("Faith That Brought Results") and Lesson 81 ("The Twelve Apostles Sent") from Book 7 were taught in eight languages: French (main class), Gungbe, Fongbe, Adja, Mina, Sahouè, as well as English and Yoruba.

The children were also actively involved. They held their own Sunday school sessions and services in the Children's Hall and presented programs in the tabernacle on both Sundays of the Camp meeting.

Outstanding Testimonies

- A brother was kidnapped by ritualists was miraculously delivered after the Church of God prayed.

- Some Children had gone missing for several days during the Camp meeting. After intense prayer sessions, they were found.

- In one of the evening revival services, a young lady who came with long attachments on her hair, when she prayed through to the experience of salvation, started removing all the attachments without anyone asking her to do so . When she was interviewed, she said "the Spirit of God told me that, if I want to be sanctified I must remove all the worldliness on my hair. That was why I started removing them and God sanctified me". She was among those baptized in water. We praise God for this!

Victories won this camp

- Despite the economic situation, thousands of people attended the Camp meeting. The peak attendance at the convention was 6,150 people.

- Throughout the Camp meeting, the Lord held back the torrential rains that had caused flooding in the weeks preceding the Camp.

- No unfortunate incidents were recorded, many visitors attended this year’s Camp meeting.

- At the end of the Camp meeting, 1,511 blessings were recorded.
