The Spirit of God started to deal with me that I had to make the restitution of my life, for the Bible says, ''He that covereth his sins shall not prosper” (Proverbs 28:13). I started to make restitution. I went back to the parents of those school children whom I had cheated as their teacher and told them I had cheated them so much. Of course, I had no money but I promised to pay them whenever God improved my economic situation. And that was what I did. I went back to my local government in Imo, Abeokuta, Ogun State of Nigeria to confess that I had defrauded the government by not paying my tax for five years and they surcharged me. As soon as I got the money, I paid it to the government. I went to the liquidator in charge of Farmers' Bank, a white man, at Ikoyi, Lagos. When I got there, I stood before him and told him that I used to be a member of staff of Farmers' Bank, which was under liquidation. I brought out a parcel containing the stationery and the cashier's stamp. He was surprised. I told him I was ready for the consequences of my sin. Then he looked at me and said, “Young man, I forgive you! You can go.” I cannot tell whether I walked or flew but I just found myself joyfully back home from Obalende to Okesuna in Lagos.
I was left with the case of impersonating a policeman. Having prayed and got the power of God in my life, I went to the Central Police Station. I stood before the big policeman and told him my mission, “I had impersonated a policeman and I am here to confess it.” The man loosened his belt and walked up and down. Then the devil told me I would be sent to Kirikiri prison. I told the devil that I was prepared to go to Kirikiri prison than to go to hell. Then the policeman came back to his office and said,“Young man, you are forgiven!” That was how God settled those restitutions in my life (don't forget, I was unemployed and moneyless).
