The school began with four classes: JS I, five arms; JS 2, four arms; JS 3, three arms; and SS 1, three arms. The motto of the school is “Let the Light Shine” and the pioneer principal was Sister Busola Osidipe.
The school is a community where Divine Love and virtuous living are woven into teaching and learning. Students are trained to achieve academic excellence with the sound foundation of godly principles. The school environment and its outstanding facilities create an atmosphere for students to develop their full potential. The students have the opportunity of regularly attending Bible Study meetings and church services. They are also taught how to play musical instruments.
After the success of the first annual camp meeting at Faith City, Brother Paul desired that the church should put the vast expanse of land at Igbesa to more use. This became a burden in his heart. One day, Brother Paul said as he was prayerfully thinking about this matter, the security of the new campground, and the tabernacle under construction, God said: “Put a university there”. This became a burden as there was no money to establish and run a university.
On his next visit to Portland, he discussed this with the international headquarters and there was no objection as earlier noted.
