EXECUTIVE REPORT OF 2024 IKOT ENWANG/URUK ATTA AREAS CAMP MEETING

 

INTRODUCTION:  God in His infinite mercies paved a way in the “wilderness” of harsh economic realities for the 2024 Ikot Enwang/Uruk Atta Camp Meeting that was scheduled for December 8th - 22nd to be held.

Prayer meetings were organized across the Ikot Enwang and Uruk Atta Areas asking God to pour down His blessings during the Camp Meeting.

In preparation for the Camp Meeting, Technicians and Trades men drawn from different stations came and carried out some maintenance work on various areas to put our facilities in functional state.

ARRIVAL OF CAMPERS AND GUEST:

Ministers, Workers and other campers began to arrive the campground on Thursday, 5th       December, 2024. They were attendees from WECA Headquarters, Port Harcourt, Cross River, Akamkpa, Uyo and Eket Areas.

Goodwill messages and prayer support were received from the WECA District Superintendent, Rev. Isaac Adigun, Rev. Sylvester Ekpe and Bro. Richard Owen respectively.

MINISTERS AND WORKERS CONFERENCE: Conferees were registered prior to the commencement of the conference. Rev. IniAbasi Emah, the Area Overseer for Port Harcourt Area who represented the WECA District Superintendent, Rev. Isaac Adigun anchored the deliberations. The conference theme was “Good Stewardship” which was derived from devotional material: “The Significance of Tent Pins”

The key Bible text was from Numbers 7:1-9, it harped on the need of the participants to be faithful in playing their supportive roles in God’s work as the only basis for eternal rewards.

The paper was presented in segments by various resource persons as follows:

PAPER TOPICS: a. Welcome, Devotion, and Prayer, b. Worldliness and Worldly Amusements, c. Political and Affiliation Activities, d. Ministerial Relationships 1, e. Ministerial Relationships 2, f. General Instruction on Marriage.

The total attendance was 1,140 drawn from the eleven (11) and four (4) zones of Ikot Enwang and Uruk Atta Areas respectively.

SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS’ CONFERENCES

    Three Sunday School Teachers’ Conferences were held

DEVOTIONAL SERVICES: The first Devotional Service was held on Sunday, December 8, 2024 on the topic “God’s Fire for Repairing Broken Altar” by Rev. IniAbasi Emah. The text was from 1 Kings 18:36-39 which harped on the fact that, “Repairing Broken Altar” would bring down answers from God. The service had attendance of 4302.

The second Devotional Service held on Sunday, December 15, 2024 had attendance of 5831.

The service was anchored by Bro. Iniabasi O. Inyang on the topic: “The Value of Complete Consecration” The text was taken from James 4:8 and Romans 12:1-2. It was reiterated that complete consecration is the foundation or bedrock of closer walk and intimate relationship with God. The value and attendant blessings are enormous.

The last Devotional Service was held on Sunday, December 22, 2024 with attendance of 5181.

The topic of the sermon was “Spiritual Heart Care” by Rev. Samuel P. Inyang, the Area Overseer of Calabar. The text was taken from Ezekiel 36:25-27. He harped on the need of cultivating a pure heart always and in all circumstances as a prerequisite for seeing God in Heaven.

ELEMENTARY SUNDAY SCHOOL PROGRAMMES:

Ikot Enwang, Ikot Ekpene, Ibiaku Ntok Okpo and Ibiaku Itu Udo zones staged the Children’s programme titled, “Come, Let Us Repair the Altar of the Lord” on the first Sunday. The programme depicted Elijah’s encounter with Baal worshippers and the victory over the enemies of God.

Elementary children from Uruk Atta Area presented the programme on the second Sunday, depicting King Hezekiah’s victory over Sennacherib’s threats of invasion.

The last elementary progrmme was staged by children from Abak, Eka Uruk Eshiet and Ndot Ikot Eda zones on the playlet which displayed David’s victory over Goliath and the Philistines.

SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHING:

The three lessons taught on the three Sundays by various teachers were positively impactful.

The reviews were handled by Rev. William Ekong, the Acting Overseer for Ikot Enwang Area and Rev. Ime Nkanta, the Overseer of Uruk Atta Area respectively.

YOUNG PEOPLE SERVICES:

The Young People Services were held on Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 2.30pm each day throughout the Camp Meeting with average attendance of 1016. Inspired and spirit-filled songs were rendered by the choir and orchestra.

Testimonies from the redeemed and inspired messages from the youth preachers culminated in abundant blessings.

BIBLE TEACHING:

Bible teachings were taught by the spirit-filled and seasoned men of God as follows:

“EVIDENCES, FRUITS AND BENEFITS OF SALVATION”, “ENTIRE SANCTIFICATION”,“SPIRITUAL POWER FOR SERVICE”, “FINANCIAL STEWARDSHIP”, “PREVAILING PRAYER” (MORE TIME FOR PRAYER), “THE TRIAL OF FAITH AND THE REWARD”, and “GLORIOUS COMING OF CHRIST”

At the end of each teaching, worshipers rushed to altars to seek God face and were blessed.

REVIVAL AND EVANGELISTIC SERVICES:

Revival and Evangelistic Services were held on evenings of Sundays and Tuesdays to Fridays throughout the Camp Meeting and many blessings were recorded.

TESTIMONY SERVICES: Testimonies from the redeemed of the Lord portrayed the power of God to save, sanctify, baptize with the Holy Ghost and Fire, heal and solve all seemingly insurmountable problems.

Most importantly, testimonies from those who were saved, sanctified, baptized, healed during the Camp Meeting; affirmed the fact that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. Many great testimonies of deliverance from unremedied drunkenness, drug addiction, sickness, Cultism and supply of material needs, mighty protection were given.

EXTRA – CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:

Activities such as First Aid seminar, Pastors and Treasurers Workshop, and AVS General meeting were held.

Film show and charity day were held on Mondays of the first and second week respectively.

Seeker’s night was held on Tuesdays – Fridays nights during the Camp Meeting.

Open Air services were successfully carried out during the Camp Meeting.

MUSIC CONCERT

The Camp Meeting Adult Music Concert presented by the Choir and Orchestra from Ikot Enwang/Uruk Atta Areas on Saturday, 14th December, 2024 had attendance of 2574 with the theme “Sing His Birth”. The Youth and Children concert was held on Saturday, 21st December 2024 with attendance of 2168.

In the spirit of the Camp Meeting, Music Concert was presented at Uruk Atta Area Headquarters on Sunday 29th December, 2024 with 1214 attending the concert.

ORDINANCE SERVICES:

A total of 175 people were immersed in water on Friday, 20th December, 2024. On the evening of Friday, 20th December, 2024, ordinances of the Lord’s Supper and Washing of Saints’ feet were observed with 1536 in attendance.

CONCLUSION:

The Camp Meeting was concluded with the peak attendance of 5831 and a total of 1257 blessings recorded. It offered an opportunity for us to experience God in action.

We appreciate the WECA District Superintendent, The Board of Trustee, the Guest Preachers and indeed every singular person who contributed for the success of the Spiritual feast.

The Camp Meeting days are over but the blessings will continue. May God prepare us to be qualified to make the rapture.
