Report For Ladies' Conference Held March 7, 2026 at Apostolic Faith Church, WECA Headquarters, Anthony, Lagos.
Introduction
The Ladies Conference held on March 7, 2026, was a spiritually enriching and impactful gathering designed to encourage women to understand and embrace the different seasons of life through God’s wisdom and guidance. The conference brought together women of different ages, backgrounds, and life stages to reflect on the divine timing of God in their personal journeys as women, daughters, wives, mothers, widows and leaders.
The programme focused on helping participants appreciate that every stage of life carries its own purpose and responsibility, and that walking with God through each season leads to growth, maturity, and fulfillment.
Registration and Early Activities
Registration commenced at 8:35 a.m., with the registration team already on ground and fully prepared to receive participants. Prior to the conference, a pre-registration system had been created to accommodate both online and physical participants, which greatly improved the efficiency of the registration process.
During registration, participants who had completed the pre-registration process were verified and ticked off, while those who had not pre-registered were captured on the spot to ensure that everyone in attendance was properly documented.
Beyond the registration process, the unit also played an important role in monitoring the timing of the programme, tracking physical attendance, and ensuring proper class distribution. The objective was to maintain well-balanced classes that would remain small enough to allow meaningful interaction, discussion, and participation among attendees.
Opening Ceremony: Singspiration and Learning of the Ladies’ Conference Anthem
The conference began with a singspiration session where participants engaged in spirited singing and praise. This moment of worship helped create a warm and spiritually receptive atmosphere for the rest of the program. During this session, attendees were also taught the Ladies’ Conference Anthem. Learning the anthem gave us a sense of unity and shared identity among the women, reminding us of the purpose of the gathering and encouraging collective participation throughout the conference. An opening prayer was made thereafter.
Welcome and Opening Addresses
Following the opening prayer, the conference was officially declared open through the DS Opening Speech. In this address, the District Superintendent highlighted the significance of the conference, introduced the theme, and encouraged the women to approach the sessions with openness and commitment to growth. This was followed by a welcome address delivered by Sis Sola Opaleye, who warmly greeted all participants, and encouraged us deeply on the theme of the conference and to be expectant throughout the sessions.
Pre-recorded Drama
A pre-recorded drama presentation was shown to participants as part of the program. The drama illustrated real-life issues and experiences relevant to women at different times and seasons, portraying situations that reflected the theme of the conference. Through its storytelling and emotional engagement, the drama made the conference more relatable and impactful.
Pre-recorded Plenary Speech
Participants also watched a pre-recorded plenary speech delivered by Dr. Gloria. In her presentation, she addressed key aspects of the conference theme, providing insightful perspectives, practical guidance, and encouragement for women in their personal, spiritual, and social lives. Her personal experience and message challenged participants to reflect deeply on their roles, responsibilities, and opportunities even when life isn’t going as they want as long as they are in the will of God.
Conference Sessions and Participation
The conference featured various class sessions designed to address different aspects of a woman’s journey through life’s seasons. These sessions created an atmosphere of learning, reflection, and open dialogue.
All the classes experienced highly interactive sessions, characterized by:
—Active participation from attendees
—Open questions and discussions
—Experience sharing among participants
—Practical teaching and knowledge transfer
Participants were encouraged to share real-life experiences, challenges, and testimonies from their different seasons of life. This created a warm and engaging environment where women were able to learn not only from the facilitators but also from the experiences and perspectives of fellow participants.
Panel Session After the Classes
After the various classes were concluded, a panel session was held to further explore the issues discussed during the earlier sessions. Panelists shared their experiences, perspectives, and practical advice on the topics raised. The session also provided an opportunity for participants to ask questions and seek clarification on matters affecting their lives. This interactive discussion helped deepen understanding and allowed attendees to connect the lessons learned in the classes to real-life situations.
Attendance
The attendance recorded during the conference showed strong participation and commitment from the women.
Morning Class Sessions Attendance: 379 participants
Afternoon Session Attendance: 368 participants
The slight variation in numbers reflected normal movement of participants within the course of the day, but overall attendance remained strong and encouraging throughout the conference.
Welfare Support
The welfare unit played a significant role in ensuring that participants and workers were well catered for throughout the programme.
Youth Welfare and students from LASU AFCF provided valuable support to the kitchen staff, assisting in various tasks that helped ease the workload and ensure smooth meal preparation and service.
Their contribution was highly commendable and demonstrated strong collaboration between different groups within the church community.
Tea Break Sponsorship
The tea break session was made possible through the generosity of several sponsors who provided snacks for participants. Their contributions ensured that attendees were refreshed and energized during the programme.
Ushering and Protocol
The ushering and protocol responsibilities were handled largely by the young people, who served diligently throughout the programme.
Their dedication and cooperation contributed significantly to the orderliness and successful coordination of the conference.
DS Closing Charge and Prayer/Commitment Session
Toward the end of the conference, the District Superintendent contributed to some points noted by the panelist and delivered a closing charge, reminding participants of the key lessons and encouraging them to put the knowledge gained into practice. This was followed by a prayer and commitment session, during which participants reflected on the messages they had received and committed themselves to positive change and purposeful living.
Closing Prayer
The conference concluded with a closing prayer, which committed the participants, their families, and their endeavors into God’s hands. This final moment of prayer brought the activities to a solemn and meaningful close, leaving participants encouraged, strengthened, and motivated to live out the values and lessons emphasized during the conference.
