2026 GHANA CAMPMEETING REPORT

Introduction

The 2026 Ghana Camp meeting was held between August 23 and September 6, 2026 under the theme: “Surely I come quickly” (Revelation 22: 20) . The event was preceded by several weeks of prayer meetings in all our branch churches in the Accra Zone for maximum blessings from the LORD during the convention.

Attendance

We were privileged to have in our midst the Director of the Asia Work and Board of Trustee member at Portland Headquarters, Rev. Bill McKibben and his wife, Sister Lori, as well as the West and Central Africa (WECA) District Superintendent (DS), Rev. Isaac Adigun, and his wife, Sister Stella, during the Campmeeting. This year, we were blessed by the participation of two Overseers of our churches in Nigeria (Rev. Nosa Uwoghiren, the Lagos North Area Overseer and his wife, Sister Dorcas, and Rev. Aderemi Oke, the Ogun East Area Overseer and his wife, Sister Ruth). Also, Rev. Johnson Okpo from the Missions Department at the WECA Headquarters, and his wife, Sister Kemi, who is the Elementary Sunday School Superintendent for WECA, in attendance. We also had delegates from Nigeria, Benin Republic, Togo, La Cote d’Ivoire, and all the 56 branches in the six zones of Ghana.

Workers Conference

The Ministers and Workers’ Conference was held on Friday, August 21, 2026. After welcoming the participants we had a devotional titled “All Gospel Workers Are Ministers.” Replicating what was done during the WECA Conference, The Country Overseer Rev, Josephy Ansah read from Numbers 3:5-6, and reminded the brethren that God is pleased by faithfulness rather than a person’s title. He further urged every worker to choose active service and live in readiness for the soon return of the Lord Jesus Christ to catch away His waiting Bride. The conference featured a rich series of studies addressing pastoral ministry, youth development and mentorship, miscellaneous matters relating to our profession, responsible use of social media, preservation of the Apostolic Faith heritage, evangelism, and good financial stewardship. In addition, there was a clip from the Superintendent General, Rev. Sola Adesope on our Organizational Identity. He reminded workers that our organizational identity is reflected in our roots, doctrines, mission, and conduct. He noted that our conduct is rooted in the Bible principles of modesty, humility, and reverence, noting that we must seek to conduct ourselves in a manner that honours God and directs attention to Jesus Christ rather than to ourselves. The 2026 Campmeeting Ministers and Workers Conference was marked by a spirit of unity and commitment to serving God, and it closed with a prayer meeting.

Campmeeting Greetings

During the announcements at the commencement of the Campmeeting, I introduced special guests and read greetings from around the world including from Rev. Olusola Adesope, the Superintendent General, and his wife, Sister Tolu, as well as from Rev. Isaac Adigun, the WECA District Superintendent, and his wife, Sister Stella and also greetings from Rev. John Musgrave and his wife. Numerous Campmeeting greetings came from USA, Canada, UK, Germany, Australia, Benin Republic, France, and Nigeria.

Campmeeting Teachings and Sermons

For the First Sunday Devotional Service sermon of the convention, Rev. Ansah preached on: “Surely I come quickly”, which was in line with the Campmeeting theme. Based on Rev. 22: 20, 7, 12, and John 14: 1, the congregants were reminded that the Lord Jesus Christ will certainly come again and that the goal of the Campmeeting is to prepare all of us for that all-important event. Worshippers were enjoined to surrender their lives to the Lord and consecrate all to enable them get the experiences of salvation, sanctification and baptism of the Holy Ghost and fire, which will qualify them to be ready for the soon return of the Lord Jesus. A good time of prayer ensued after the sermon.

Rev. McKibben preached on the second Sunday of the Campmeeting. He told the audience that God’s desire was to bless us and make us a blessing. He drew his main texts from Gen 12: 1-5 and Heb 11: 8-10, reminding worshippers that 

the LORD would bless all those who come to Him in sincerity and ultimately grant them eternal life when Jesus returns for His own.

Rev. Adigun gave a teaching on Love Not the World citing 1John 2: 15-17, 12-14; 1 Pet 2: 9-11; and Rom 12: 1, 2 as his key texts. He said the message was for all categories of people and for various age groups. He reminded all about some people from the Bible who chose to love the world after having been born again, whose end was not good. He encouraged all to love God more than the temporal and ephemeral things of life, noting that all things in this life will pass away but s/he who does the will of God will live for ever.

The following teaching topics were presented during the Campmeeting: Three Steps: The Foundational Christian Experiences (Key texts: Rom 3: 23; 1 John 1: 9; John 17: 17-21; Heb 12: 14; Luk 24: 49; Act 1: 5-8; 2: 1-4, 39); Importance of the Word of God (Key texts: Ps. 119: 9-11, 15, 16; John 1: 1-5; Col 1: 15, 16); Building for Eternity (Key texts: (Key text: 1 Cor 3: 10-15; Mat 6: 19-21; Ps 90: 2; John 21: 15-17 ); Christ’s Waiting Bride (Key text: Rev. 16: 15; 19:7-9; John 14: 1-3; 1 Thes 5: 23; 1John 2: 15, 16); The Essence of True Christianity (Key text: John 17: 14-17; Heb 11: 6; 9: 27; Phil 2: 15; Ps 1: 1, 2); and Christian’s Inheritance (Key texts: Mat 6: 19-21; Ps 32: 5; Rom 8: 16, 17; John 14: 1-3).

The last Sunday Devotional Service message was given by Rev. Johnson Okpo on the topic: “My Presence Shall Go with Thee” based on Exodus 33:14. The congregation was admonished that the God Who brought them safely to the Campground would go with them, bless them, keep them from evil, solve all their problems and give them peace. There were fervent prayers at the altars after the service.

Revival and Evangelistic Services were held on Sunday – Friday. Youth Services were held on the first Sunday, Wednesday and Friday, while Children’s Services were held on Tuesday and Thursday. The French Service was held on Thursday.

The teachings and sermons were inspiring and challenging and many worshippers prayed after each service. Generally, all the services and teachings were live-streamed on the internet and various social media handles, and the Lord blessed in a special way.

Campmeeting Music Concert

The Camp Music Concert was held on Saturday, 29 August 2026 at 4.00pm on the theme He is Coming (onam oreba). The Concert featured works from the music masters including Sing Unto God and See the Conquering Hero Comes (from Judas Maccabeus By G.F. Handel); Eine Kleine Natchmuksik 2^nd Movement Andante (By W.A. Mozart); Largo Al Factorumi (By Gioachino Rossini); War March of the Priests (from Athaliah by Felix Mendelsssohn); and Di Yen Kan (Lead Us) (String Ensemble by P.M. Mba). Local Airs were also presented during the concert, which included N’ahenni (His Kingdom) and Jesu Reba (Arr. by Newlove Annan); Anwanwasem Besisi (There shall be Wonders) by Osei Boateng; and Onam Oreba (He is Coming) by J.V. Armaah.

Dignitaries and people from all walks of life attended this year’s music concert including religious leaders, traditional rulers and government functionaries. A small skit at the end of the concert on He is Coming led many people to fervent prayers.

Ordinances

The Baptismal Service was held in the morning of Friday, September 4, 2026 and congregants were admonished based upon the following scriptural passages: Mat 28: 19, 20; Rom 6: 3, 4. Thankfully, a total of 64 saints, comprising 36 sisters and 28 brothers, were baptised in water. We give God all the glory!

The Ordinances of Lord’s Supper and Washing of Saints’ Feet were held on the evening of the same Friday. The Ordinance of the Lord’s Supper was based on Luke 22: 19, 20; 1 Corinth 11: 24-29, while the Washing of Saints’ Feet drew from John 13: 1-17. Both ordinances were attended by 371 brethren, comprising 182 brothers and 189 sisters.

The presence of God was felt during these meetings as the saints sang joyfully in praise and adoration of the Lord who has done so much for us.

Children’s Programmes

On the first Sunday of the convention, the Sunday School children from Accra Zone presented a skit in line with the theme of the Campmeeting with emphasis on the Second Christ of the Lord. Similarly, the Sunday School children from the Northern Zone and their counterparts from the Ada Zone presented their sketches on the Second Sunday and last Sunday of the Campmeeting 

respectively. They highlighted the importance of being ready for the imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ, highlighting the need to be saved, sanctified and filled with the baptism of the Holy Ghost and fire.

Testimony Service

Testimony Service is an important feature of our services as it provides an opportunity to hear what the Lord has done in the lives of those who trust Him. The testimonies given at the Campmeeting clearly show that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. A brother recounted how God delivered him from a terrible accident that could have taken his life. The vehicle he was driving was damaged beyond repairs and when he was pulled from the vehicle, they decided to send his body to the morgue thinking he was dead. But God revived him and healed him of all injuries, today he is hale and hearty and serving the LORD. A sister related how God fought for them at their branch church, stating that a man began building close to the church building and was using our church materials for his own building. One day, a bulldozer came and levelled his building to the ground and the man was warned never to erect any building again along that stretch. Another sister praised God for teaching her how to speak English as people were always interpreting to her during services but today she could speak the English language fluently to the glory of God.

Other Activities

All free periods were occupied with useful activities for the Campmeeting delegates to build them up spiritually and equip them with secular skills. Accordingly, there was a meeting of Ministers and their spouses, which was held on Monday, August 24 2026. Also, there was Young People’s Programme on Use of Social Media. The afternoon of the second Sunday was used by Rev. McKibben to talk about Marriage and Courtship, as well as provide answers to numerous questions that participants posed. A Youth Mentorship Programme and a Youth Quiz/ Variety Show were also held.

Campmeeting Statistics

We thank God that our meetings were well attended. Peak attendance was on the last Sunday, 6 September 2026, with 1,781 persons (consisting of 837 males and 944 females) present during the Devotional Service. This number excludes the internet audience. We are grateful to the almighty for showering His blessings upon us during this year’s Campmeeting. By God’s grace, we received a total of 2,222 blessings as indicated hereunder.

Conclusion

We are grateful to the almighty God for making it possible for us to hold the 2026 Convention and for the numerous blessings He bestowed upon us. We praise and glorify His holy name. Thank you for praying for the success of the convention. We know that many more people were blessed. From the recorded blessings, God indeed answered your prayers for us. We are grateful. May the LORD richly bless you and count you worthy of eternal life.

We thank God for all the delegates who came from Portland and parts of WECA to support us, as well as our workers from parts of Ghana for their tireless efforts to get souls to seek God and be blessed. Your efforts have indeed paid off. May the good LORD bless you abundantly in Jesus’ mighty name.

As we await the soon blast of the Trump of God, do pray for us that the LORD will prepare all of us and our family members for the rapture.
