3. Flirting

To flirt means making love for amusement without serious intentions or to pretend to be interested in the opposite sex. This is what is called boyfriend, girlfriend relationship. This is sinful and consequences of such an association are very grievous. It is an amusement with which it is too expensive to play-saying and doing things we do not mean with our hearts, creating a false impression.
The price one pays for having broken somebody else's heart on purpose, letting all his or her life-dreams and hopes crash into a million pieces in one moment is too high. You cannot afford it! Many people wonder why their marriage is so unhappy, why their
life-partner does not think anything of breaking their heart so cruelly, time and again;and they forget that the Bible says:
Galatians 6:7:“Be not deceived;God is not mocked:for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”
If you want a happy marriage, watch your actions while still unmarried! You can very easily bring yourself under condemnation. A happy marriage does not tumble down
from Heaven“all cut and dried”-we generally reap whit we sow! Usually many unhappy marriages today are the just result of a reckless, selfish youth. The Bible teaches us never to do to others what we would not have them do to us,and also that we should
love our neighbours as ourselves.Would you like somebody to play with your heart's most tender and holy affections as with a football-people kicking it around, while it pleases them, and then leaving it alone in a corner? Would you like to be like a beautiful
flower, that somebody picks while passing by,enjoys its beauty and sweet fragrance for a moment, then throws it down at the roadside:crushed, withered,to die alone? Such a disappointment sometimes leaves a wound in the tender heart of a highly principled person which he or she will carry throughout life.
Flirting, innocent and amusing though it may at the start, is a very deceptive tree that bears bitter fruit of remorse and sorrow in the end.Can you take such a responsibility upon yourself? Wouldn't you rather be willing to have less“"adventure, popularity and amusement,”and be true to what your conscience tells you is right before God? Your reward will be great. One can enjoy one's youth to the fullest without indulging in things that one regrets afterwards.
