The governing body of the Apostolic Faith is composed of a duly-elected board of five trustees—of which the General Overseer is the head. There is a board of 24 elders and secretary–treasurer. The organization is incorporated under the laws of the State of Oregon as the “Apostolic Faith Mission of Portland, Oregon,” its form of government being presbyterian in nature: that of all branches being under the leadership of one head.

The Overseer, ministers, teachers, elders and officers are men and women who give evidence that their callings are of God before they are eligible to fill their position.
