The world once more stood in dire need of a spiritual revival, and God had His man for the occasion. John Wesley of England came to the front as a mighty instrument in the hand of God to arouse the people of his country, as well as America, to the realization of the sinfulness of their sins.
Under his leadership, great revivals were held in England and in America. New life and hope came to thousands upon thousands who were moved by the Spirit of God through the preaching and teaching of John Wesley. He and his brother Charles and other contemporaries promoted a vast work of evangelism which spread the Gospel far and wide.
