In the fall of I907, Mother and some of the workers took an extended evangelistic tour, holding services in Seattle, Washington; Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada; Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota. On this trip God added more soldiers of the Cross to His army; and some of these people, too, fought the battle of faith to the very end of their life.

During the early part of Mother's ministry, she worked in cooperation with the leader of the Los Angeles church which, in the beginning, was considered the headquarters. But While Mother was in Minneapolis, God spoke to her and said, "If you will go back to Portland, Oregon, and stay there, I will make that place the headquarters of this Apostolic Faith work; and I will raise up the standard of the Gospel in that place."

Following her return to Portland she answered a call to preach in a Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, where the pastor fully endorsed all the doctrines she upheld and stood wholeheartedly with her. His congregation came en masse to the services held in humble quarters by the Apostolic Faith; but as time went on, some of his church officials and members turned away from the teaching of God's Word given in all its fullness; however, the minister stood true to the Word of God as Mother taught it.
