In 1924, we replaced our first missionary boat with a larger one, the Morning star II, a cruiser type. It was equipped with living accommodations for a group of workers; and being a larger boat, it was used to carry on a more extensive work. With it we could cruise farther down the Columbia toward the Pacific and reach a larger number of ships. Occasionally the boat workers visited small towns, villages, lumber camps, and some places accessible, at that time, only by water, and presented the Gospel to many in neglected areas.
