Missionary work among seafarers is also carried on by our branch churches located elsewhere on the west Coast. In San Francisco, workers have been faithful to the seamen in the bay area. A number of years ago they visited many Russian vessels which had been sent to America during a peace conference, and the workers received kind reception on the Russian ships. What a consolation to have given Christian literature to those who have been steeped in atheism, unbelief, and a God-hating religion! In Tacoma and Seattle, Washington, and also in Vancouver, B. C., our workers carry the Gospel to seamen when possible. The missionary stimulus of the worker is aroused to a greater degree when he sees the effects of this work proved out in the lives of seamen who have been converted from a life of sin to one of righteousness.
