Christian workers whose utmost desire is to spread the Words of Truth to all peoples of all lands are faced with a real challenge in missionary opportunities offered them in the local harbor of Portland alone, as well as in other near-by harbors on the Columbia. In these areas are found ships from points all around the globe and men aboard of various nationalities. Though our group of workers could never make contact with all these ships, they do visit those they can, when they make their calls at the docks.
That the reader may have a more graphic concept of this foreign work conducted on the home front, a brief description is given of our local port where most of the harbor missionary efforts are centralized.
