At the time we called the member together to consider all that would be involved in obtaining the property and erecting a new headquarters building, my mother, the late Overseer, the Rev. Florence L. Crawford, spoke of the project in a spirit of courage and faith.
This body of people, like those in Nehemiah’s time who so daringly built up the walls of Jerusalem, joyously accepted the challenge before them. Knowing that the God of Heaven would prosper that which was done for His honor and for the salvation of souls, they purposed in their hearts to “rise and build,” and “they strengthened their hands” for the good work.
