The whole project consumed a period of about six months’ intensive labor; and it was a glad day when the work was finished and passed inspection by city officials. From that day, we eagerly looked forward to the time we could occupy the new headquarters.

During the construction period, services continued at the Front and Burnside location, the last services continued at the Front and Burnside location, the last service being held there Sunday, June 18, 1922. Moving of the supplies from the old building was no small task, partly done in cars and a church truck. On July 29th, 1922, large horse-drawn transfer wagon backed up to the old Gospel lighthouse and the heavy printing press was loaded and taken to its new quarters.
